Who we are

KOLOLA was established in 2015 with a vision of providing people with an intuitive way to work together and record their activity and impact. Our software is used by a wide variety of customers, ranging from research teams, doctoral training centres, charities, small businesses and even politicians. We can bring real benefit to anyone working on a project who needs to be able evidence their progress, their value and their achievements.

The Team

Richard Gomer - Managing Director

Richard is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Agents, Interactions and Complexity Research Group at the University of Southampton. His interests include human-computer interaction, user experience and the use of feedback to improve user decision making in domains such as privacy, identity and wellbeing. Richard has many years of professional experience in software development and technology consultancy.

Will Fyson - Technical Director

Will is a software engineer for EPrints Services based at the University of Southampton, having recently finished a PhD at the university’s Web Science Centre for Doctoral Training. Will’s interest lie with how we might help researchers better communicate their research and achievements, and understanding how they might encouraged to embrace more open forms of discourse. Will also has experience with technology consultancy, assisting other start-up companies.

Alex Price - Business Development Director

Alex has a background working in the charity sector in a variety of service delivery roles. This previous experience has given him an interest in helping people to communicate more effectively, as well as a working knowledge on the importance of reporting on impact to be able to keep stakeholders onboard to help secure further funding. His role at KOLOLA covers the sales, marketing and training sides of the business.
